Payroll & HR Officer

37 Hours/Term Time plus 3 weeks

Grade 9 - £36,648- £41,418 (Full Time, Whole Year Equivalent)

Required for April 2024 or as soon as possible thereafter.

 

Future Generation Trust is a growing Trust of primary phase academies in Staffordshire.

FGT aims to create a strong positive culture in all of its academies in which valuable life skills will be delivered.  Quality teaching, built upon a foundation of care and support will lead to high levels of attainment, achievement and confidence, self-esteem and a love of learning.

Due to the growth of the Trust, we are seeking to recruit a dynamic, skilled and organised Payroll and HR Officer to deliver an efficient high-quality service to all Trust employees and stakeholders in line with the Trust’s strategy and service level agreements. The successful candidate will be based at our Central Office in Essington, Wolverhampton with travel required as necessary to Trust academies.

Under the direction of the Director of Finance the Payroll & HR Officer will be:

  • Responsible for ensuring that all Trust staff are paid correctly in accordance with the payroll timetable, statutory deductions are included, compliance checks are completed, reconciliation with finance is agreed, statutory pay-overs are processed, and relevant information is communicated to HMRC and other statutory and pension scheme bodies.

  • To manage all aspects of a Payroll service with the Trust’s payroll provider.

  • Generate relevant reports and documents to enable the reconciliation and payment of monthly contributions.

  • Responsible for the day-to-day operation of the HR function of the Trust ensuring compliance with all necessary legislation and best practice.

  • To support Trustees, Central Team members and Academy Senior Leadership Teams in all aspects of people management.

  • Responsible for supporting academy leaders with their recruitment needs.

  • To liaise with the Trust’s HR consultants as required.
